Privacy Policy
Daylog does not send your personal information anywhere. Every record the app creates is stored only on your device. The developer cannot read your location, activity or schedule.
1. What is processed
| Item | Purpose | Stored |
|---|---|---|
| Location | Records where you stayed, for how long, and the route between | On device |
| Activity records | Keeps the activity names, times and tags you enter | On device |
| Calendar | Shows which events were on during a recorded stretch | Read only, not stored separately |
| Notification settings | Schedules goal and wrap-up reminders | On device |
2. Transfer and third parties
- The app has no server of its own. Nothing it collects is sent out.
- Nothing is shared with or sold to third parties.
- No advertising identifier is used. Your behaviour is not tracked.
- Map display and address lookup use Apple's on-device facilities (MapKit and CLGeocoder). That part follows Apple's own privacy terms.
3. Retention and deletion
- All records live in the device's storage.
- Delete the app and the records go with it.
- Individual records can be deleted inside the app.
- The developer holds no separate backup.
4. Permissions
| Permission | Why | If refused |
|---|---|---|
| Location (While Using) | Shows where you are on the map | Only the map is limited |
| Location (Always) | Records the places you stay and the route between, even when the app is closed. The coordinates it receives never leave the device | Automatic recording stops. Everything you time by hand still works |
| Calendar | Shows events alongside your records. Events are written only when you tap "Add event" yourself | Only showing and adding events is limited |
| Notifications | Tells you about goal progress and the day's wrap-up | Only the reminders stop |
Permissions can be changed at any time in Settings → Daylog on your device.
5. Children
The app is not directed at children under 14 and collects no information specific to them.
6. Your rights
Because all data lives on your device, you can read, change and delete it yourself inside the app. There is no information held by the developer for you to request.
7. Changes to this policy
If this changes, it is posted here with a revision date. Significant changes are also noted in the app's release notes.
